What's right
Someone on my facebook today said something that was making fun of a girl who has 11 toes and wore flip flops to school. My best friend told them that they shouldn't judge and that that girl was brave for wearing them. This started a whole argument with the one who posted the comment saying that it was no big deal and that my friend needed to drop it. There were two people condoning this behavior, and me and my friend were trying to make them see that it was wrong and that a lot of people could take offense at something like that. I don't see how they could argue that it is right to put someone down and then when someone tries to tell you that it could offend people they tell you that it is no big deal. This really made me angry because quite a few people acted like we were in the wrong for trying to defend this girl even though we don't know her personally, but a lot of our friends were on our side as well. The argument may have gotten a little out of hand but the comments that were being made were rude and they should see that it isn't right to put other people down. I think that it was right to defend this girl and I don't see how others could think that it is okay to say that about someone.
